Jonathon has been interested in the drums since he could walk. His influences include gospel, contemporary jazz, fusion, soul and R&B. Lately, Jonathan has been jamming with colleagues and performing all over Toronto. A clip of him performing at The Listening Room last fall garnered over 4 million views! Jonathan hopes to tour widely in support of fellow upstarting musicians and to teach the drums internationally.

Gabrielle is a singer/songwriter who plays guitar and piano, and has been pursuing her dream of being a rock star since she was five. She wrote her very first song at 12 and has won a series of music festival vocal competitions.

Gabrielle has been honing her composing skills, gaining experience using studio equipment and arranging and performing in ensemble settings. Inspired by reflections on life, she hopes that her songs can be a source of comfort and revelation to others.

Kanury was captivated by music from the age of three and began studying violin at eight. He has continued to pursue music throughout his life. He has served as Concert Master with the Oscar Peterson Program at the Royal Conservatory and won several music competitions in Canada and abroad. Kanury hopes to participate in orchestras and university ensembles, and to keep music as a central path in his life.

Newglory plays cello, viola, guitar and piano, but his main instrument is the violin. He has been passionate about classical music all his life. Newglory’s dream is to become a world-leading soloist, and his goal for this year is to perform in an orchestra, and eventually to join one.

O (who prefers to remain anonymous) is an accomplished dancer and visual artist. Interested in music from a very early age, they were able to connect with their Mohawk and Métis roots by participating in Indigenous hand drumming and singing in community. O plays ukulele, recorder and a variety of percussion instruments but their main passion has become the guitar.
